Flights + transport
Getting here.
Most visitors fly into Auckland Airport. Here's how to get from the plane to the city.
01
Fly into
Auckland Airport
Auckland Airport (AKL) is New Zealand's main international gateway, about 20 km south of the city centre. Allow 30 to 45 minutes by car, and longer at peak times.
02
Bus and
train
The orange AirportLink bus leaves both terminals every 10 minutes for Puhinui Station. From there, trains run straight into the city centre.
03
Tap on,
tap off
Auckland's buses, trains and ferries take contactless cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Cash isn't accepted on buses.
Domestic flights
Flying in from elsewhere in New Zealand? Most main centres have direct flights into Auckland's domestic terminal.
Taxis and rideshare
Taxis and rideshare apps pick up from both terminals and run all over the city.
Hiring a car
Rental desks are at the airport. If you're driving into the city, book parking ahead, as central spaces fill up fast.
Buffet lunch
A buffet lunch to keep you going through the day.
Tea and coffee
Morning tea plus an all-day tea and coffee station in the conference room.
Bubbles on arrival
Start the evening with a complimentary glass of bubbles as you walk in.

The venue will be announced soon, and we'll share places to stay nearby as soon as it's confirmed. Until then, these parts of town are a good bet.
City centre and Viaduct Harbour. Walkable, close to the ferries, with plenty of places to eat and drink.
Ponsonby. Boutique stays and some of the city's best cafés and restaurants.
Parnell and Newmarket. A little quieter, with great shopping and train links into town.
Near the airport. Handy if you're flying in late or out early.
